The proceedings of the conference will be published as a special issue in Nanotechnology.

Full-length original research papers presented at the 8th International Conference on Non-contact Atomic Force Microscopy, Bad Essen, Germany, 15-18 August 2005, will be considered for inclusion in a Special Issue of Nanotechnology. All papers will be refereed according to the usual standard of quality for the journal. We expect an average length of submitted papers to be between 5 and 9 journal pages assuming about 900 words per page (figures and diagrams to count as approximately 300 words).

Print publication date, assuming deadlines are met, is April 2006. Please note that papers will be published online as soon as they are ready in advance of print version. As a service to authors and to the international physics community, all papers will be freely available online for 30 days from their electronic publication date. This means open access for citations to everyone in the world.

Please hand in a copy of the Article Submission Form to Guest Editor Dr Wolfgang Mikosch at the conference and send an electronic file of your paper together with an Assignment of Copyright Form and a copy of Article Submission Form directly to IOPP.

Electronic files of all manuscripts together with Article Submission Form and Assignment of Copyright Form must reach IOPP by 22 August 2005.
